How do I turn the pages?

To navigate around the browser version, you can either click on the corners to turn the pages or use the yellow arrows at the top.

How do I zoom in?

There are 2 ways to zoom in, giving you the option to use the method you prefer:

1/ Either click the Zoom option in the top toolbar or

2/ simply click on any page when you can see the ‘click to zoom in’ message on your mouse cursor to automatically zoom in, then click and hold to drag around the page. Be careful not to click a link or near the corner of the page by mistake. Click on the page again to zoom back out.


What do the menu items at the top all do?

Tools - Click ‘tools’ to email us, email this magazine to a friend or to download Puzzlextra as a PDF (if this feature doesn’t work, please click here)
Archive - Allows you to view previous issues of Puzzlextra
Thumbs - Preview all pages as thumbnails
Contents - Skip to any page in the magazine with this feature
Adverts - Please support our sponsors
Print - Either select ‘print all’ or click the thumbnails you want to print, click ‘print’, then ‘save’ to your computer, then open the file and print (if this feature doesn’t work, please click here to download a printable PDF version)
Zoom - Click ‘zoom’ to enlarge an area to read, and click and drag to move around the page. Click page again to zoom back out
Search - Coming soon

To save Puzzlextra as a PDF file, click the tools item, select ‘Download PDF’ then once it has opened, save it to your computer. If you experience any problems with this, just save the version found on the main Puzzlextra page. To open this file, you will need Adobe Acrobat, a free file viewing program available from http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/

To print from the flipbook version, click ‘print ’ in the toolbar, then either select ‘print all’ or click on the thumbnails of the pages you want to print. Next, click ‘print’ to create a PDF file of the desired pages. Once this download is complete, open and print in acrobat reader (available for free download from http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/ )

If you experience any problems with this, please instead try opening the PDF version from the main Puzzlextra page and printing from here.

How do I enter the competition?

To enter the E-nigma contest, you’ll need to print out pages 4 and 5, and solve the puzzle to reveal the mystery word. Complete your details on the E-nigma entry form (accessible from the menu at top) and submit it for your chance to win! For contest conditions of entry, click here.


Who can enter?

The competition is open to all residents of Australia and New Zealand who register to receive Lovatts PuzzlExtra during the promotional period. Limit one entry per email address.

You may find using the browser a little slow to start with while the pages all load, but once this is completed, you should be able to turn pages with relative speed. If however it is still too slow, we recommend you download a PDF version of PuzzlExtra.
