Our Terms and Policies are intended to make our websites safe and fun for everybody. We invite you to bring to our attention any content on our websites you believe to be inaccurate, inappropriate or in violation of these rules.

The content that appears on our sites is for informational purposes only.
Before you act on information you’ve found on or through our site, confirm any facts that are important to your decision.
We encourage you to exercise a healthy scepticism and good judgement.
Our websites are provided free of charge to you under this Visitor Agreement. Review these terms periodically to determine whether a change has been made.
RULES FOR SUBMISSIONS AND MESSAGES:
Responsibility for what is posted lies with each user - you alone are responsible for the content of your messages, and the consequences of any such message.
You agree not to use the sites in any way to send or submit materials:
- that are false, inaccurate or misleading;
- that are fraudulent or involve the sale of stolen items;
- that infringe any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy;
- that violate any law or regulation;
- that are defamatory, libellous, threatening or harassing;
- that are obscene or contain any type of pornography;
- that contain any viruses or other computer programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information;
- that might create liability for us or might cause us to lose (in whole or part) the services of our Internet service providers or other suppliers;
- that interferes with the ability of others to enjoy our site;
- that link to or include descriptions of goods or services that: (i) are prohibited under this agreement; or (ii) you do not have the right to link to or include.
Please note that we cannot and do not review every submission a user may make.
We neither endorse nor guarantee the accuracy or propriety of any submission.
We do, however, reserve the right but do not assume the obligation to restrict or prohibit your use of our sites if we believe you are violating any of the terms of the Visitor Agreement and to remove, edit, or relocate any submission as we see fit whether for legal or other reasons.
Use of sites is limited to personal, not commercial purposes. Your commercial exploitation of the sites is strictly prohibited unless we grant prior written permission.
You acknowledge that:
- We permit access to content that is protected by copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual and proprietary rights (”Rights”) and;
- Except as expressly provided otherwise, the Visitor Agreement and applicable copyright, trademark and other laws govern your use of such content.
You are free to display and print for your personal, non-commercial use information you receive through our sites.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use any of the materials without the prior written consent of the rights holder. The burden of determining whether any content on our sites is or is not protected by Rights rests with you.
You acknowledge that we acquire all Rights to use any posted materials as described below so that we do not violate any Rights you may have in materials you post.
By submitting content to or through our sites, you grant us the non-exclusive right to reproduce, modify and distribute it as we see fit in any medium and for any purpose in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed.
You also permit any other user to access, display, and print such content for personal use.
You vouch that any material you submit does not violate, plagiarise or infringe upon the right of any third party, including copyright, trademark or proprietary rights.
If non-original content is included in your posting, you must obtain permission from the content owner and attribute it. Third party services As a convenience to you, we may provide links to third party’s websites. Those websites and parties are beyond our control.
We make no representations as to the content, quality, suitability, functionality or legality of any sites to which we may provide links, and you hereby waive any claim you may make against us with respect to such sites and their operators.
You may order services or merchandise through links on our sites from persons not affiliated with us. All matters concerning the merchandise or services, including but not limited to purchase items, payment terms, warranties, guarantees, maintenance and delivery, are solely between you and the merchants with whom you chose to do business.
You will not consider us - nor will we be construed as - a party to such transaction, whether or not we may have received some form of revenue or other remuneration in connection with the transaction.
MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION PURCHASES - TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Subscription Cancellations & Refunds
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your Lovatts magazine subscription, you may claim a refund or part refund subject to the conditions below:
a) If the subscription was purchased directly from Lovatts Publications (coupon/phone order/web order):
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Lovatts will only refund the balance remaining on your subscription – issues already delivered will be deducted from the total. The balance will be refunded to the original purchaser (in the case of a gift). If the credit card used to make the original payment is no longer valid, for example if it has expired, a cheque payment will be issued. Cheques may take up to four weeks to be processed. Additionally, an administration fee of up to $5.00 may be deducted for cancellations. This is at the discretion of Lovatts.

‘Gift with purchase’ subscriptions and discounted subscriptions may be transferred but will not be refunded. (Please see 5. Subscription Transfers – Individual Subscriptions and Packages)
b) If the subscription was purchased from a third party provider (iSubscribe, Magshop, etc):
i. If you purchase a subscription from a third party provider and choose to cancel before receiving the first issue, you are subject to the refund policy of that provider and need to contact them directly.
Do not contact Lovatts. Until we have received your payment and account details from our third party providers we cannot facilitate a refund.
ii. If you have purchased a subscription from a third party provider and wish to cancel at any time after receiving the first issue, please contact Lovatts at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone us Toll Free on: 1800 254 199.
Lovatts will only refund the balance remaining on your subscription – issues already delivered will be deducted from the total. The balance will be refunded to the original purchaser (in the case of a gift). Additionally, an administration fee of up to $10.00 may be deducted to cover third party provider fees. This is at the discretion of Lovatts.
2. Money Held in Credit
You may claim a refund on money held in credit (excluding gift voucher balances).
Simply notify Lovatts on email@example.com detailing your name, address and a reason for the refund.
The balance in credit will be refunded to the original purchaser (in the case of a gift). If the credit card used to make the original payment is no longer valid, for example if it has expired, a cheque payment will be issued. Cheques may take up to four weeks to be processed.
If you are a subscriber and you change your address or any other relevant details you must notify Lovatts. Lovatts is not liable for any consequences of your failure to do so, including but not limited to subscription issues being sent to an incorrect address.
Any errors made in providing the contact information and order details are the responsibility of the subscriber and Lovatts is not liable for any consequences if incorrect information is provided.
Returned mail and undelivered mail, through no fault of the subscriber, will be re-sent by Lovatts.
Lovatts is not obliged to re-send returned mail or undelivered mail due to the subscriber’s failure to provide the correct details.
Terms of delivery comply with the industry standard:
• For monthly publications please allow up to six weeks for your first delivery;
• For bi-monthly publications please allow up to eight weeks for your first delivery;
• For quarterly publications please allow up to twelve weeks for your first delivery.
The delivery date of the first magazine is determined by the date that you order and the date the next available issue is PRINTED. This may be 6 to 8 weeks before the scheduled On Sale date.
5. Subscription Transfers – Individual Subscriptions and Packages
You can transfer your existing subscription to a different title in the Lovatts range at any time. The balance of funds remaining on the initial subscription will determine the number of issues you will receive of the alternate title.
A transfer equal to the total value of the initial subscription cannot be requested after the first issue has been sent – only the balance.
In the event of a change in circumstances (i.e. a deceased subscriber) individual subscriptions/packages can be transferred in full to another party. Subscription packages cannot be split therefore refunds and/or transfers cannot be granted for part of a subscription package.
Individual title transfers or part refunds are not available for Lovatts subscription packages (e.g. The Works, The Lot, etc).
‘Gift with purchase’ subscriptions may be transferred to a different title in the Lovatts range. The balance of funds remaining on the ‘gift with purchase’ subscription will determine the number of issues you will receive of the alternate title. ‘Gift with purchase’ subscriptions will not be refunded. In the event of a change in circumstances (i.e. a deceased subscriber) the subscription can be transferred to another party.
All subscription transfers incur a $5.00 administration fee.
6. Lovatts Gift Vouchers
Lovatts gift vouchers are valid for a period of 2 years from when they are issued. Gift vouchers may only be used to purchase a Lovatts subscription or Lovatts merchandise direct from Lovatts. Gift vouchers are not valid at retail outlets. Any balance remaining will be held in credit. Gift voucher balances cannot be claimed as a refund and are not redeemable for cash.
Lovatts is committed to protecting and maintaining your privacy. As part of normal daily operations we may collect your information. Rest assured Lovatts has not and never will sell or pass on your personal details to any third party.
