 The Judge Sums Up p29

Our Judge is guilty of a typo! HARI-KIRI should of course read HARA-KIRI or perhaps HARI-KARI, from the Japanese for ‘belly cutting’.

I assure you that our judges didn’t get this wrong in the awarding of prizes, it was simply an unspotted error in the Judge’s column. Apologies for any confusion.

There is no gremlin in the spelling of the composer’s name in our Acrostic. Various different spellings can be found and the one we have used is the most modern one. It is now widely used by recording labels and can be found in the Encyclopedia Britannica and Oxford Music Encyclopedia.

There is no gremlin in this puzzle. The answer is a compound word and so if you look for the two parts you will find it. Some dictionaries have this only listed as one word  but others have it as one word. Sorry for any confusion.
