Seventh Heaven

When you indulge in your favourite chocolate or relax in a soothing bubble bath do you think you are in seventh heaven?  Well where exactly are you?

Seven is widely considered to be a lucky or ideal number. Muslims believe that there are seven heavens corresponding to the seven planets that rule the universe.

Each heaven is made of a precious substance and ruled by a messenger of God.  The seventh heaven is governed by Abraham. Certain early Jewish traditions also held there were seven heavens.  The seventh heaven was ruled by God and his most holy angels.

From the Middle Ages, a person in seventh heaven was said to be experiencing perfect bliss!
